The annual advertisement for education grant sets the criteria for the participation.
The competition is unique and is addressed to students enrolled in any state-owned university in Lazio, in any high school supported by Laziodisu and in any academic institution that has an arrangement with Laziodisu.
The application form for the competition can be presented together with the enrolment application form to the University or later. It is fundamental that the enrollment process is completed according to the terms set by the University; failure to comply will result in exclusion from the benefits. (Application forms with an “arreas” overtax will not be accepted)
To be eligible for a education grant applicants must satisfy both the need-based requirements (income and patrimony of the family unit of the student) and merit-based requirements (GPA).
The “freshmen”, that is the students enrolled in the first year of an academic course, have to satisfy just the need-based requirements which must be certified , upon applying, through the ISEE (Indicatore della situazione economica equivalente). Students must do this at the CAAF (centri di assistenza fiscale autorizzati). Failure to comply with the limits set for income and patrimony (l'Ispe, Indicatore della situazione patrimoniale equivalente ) will result in exclusion from the benefits.
Students who are enrolled in the second or third year, in addition to the need-based requirements, have to satisfy also the merit-based requirements, which means that they must have reached, during the previous academic year, the number of CFU requested for the competition.
In the advertisement, moreover, since you can participate to two or more competitions, it is stressed the compatibility of the various competitions and whether different benefits can be accumulated or not.
In case of changes of course, transfers, failure in certain exams there are specific limits which are to be known reading carefully the advertisement.
The student can participate filling in an on-line form.
The need-based requirements and the merit based requirements are the same for all the Benefits.
TO OBTAIN THE BENEFITS STUDENTS NEED TO:
- FOLLOW THE PROCEDURE OF THE FILLING IN OF THE APPLICATION FORM
-HAVE AN INCOME AND PATRIMONY BELOW THE LIMITS ESTABLISHED
- SATISFY THE MERIT-BASED REQUIREMENTS
Failure to comply with the above-mentioned requirements will result in exclusion from the benefits.
EDUCATION GRANT COMPETITION
The student “suitable” to this Benefit, is exempted from fees (he doesn't have to pay the remaining enrollment installments and he gets a refund for the first installment he has already paid).
Depending on the available funds, not every “suitable” will be “winner” of the education grant competition at the Final Ranking.
The “Winners” in addiction to what “suitable” gets, obtain an amount of money which varies depending on the University.
ACCOMODATION education grant
This Benefit is reserved to students who live out of Viterbo's province and enable them to have a free accommodation in one of the following halls of residence:
Piazza S. Sisto 8 in Viterbo;
Via Cardarelli 77 in Viterbo.
All the students who satisfy the requested requirements win the accommodation education grant.
CONTRIBUTION EDUCATION GRANT COMPETITION
This Benefit is reserved only to out of town students and enable them to have a contribution of € 2.308,58 in order to pay their rent in a house within Viterbo's district.
The out of town students are only that ones who live out of Viterbo's district and have a regular rent contract for an apartment within Viterbo's district.
Depending on the available funds not every “suitable” student wins the Contribution education grant Competition.
The student who participates to the Accommodation education grant Competition cannot participate to the Contribution education grant Competition and viceversa.
The education grant is the main benefit provided by the national and regional law to capable and deserving students of limited means and seeks to help them with the costs associated with higher education.
